Yesterday I had the pleasure to attend a Photoshop CS4 for Photographers seminar sponsored by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) in Philladelphia. The event was an all day training session covering several topics from adjusting images in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) to shooting for and retouching High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. I really benefitted alot from the techniques I picked up. Some of what was covered was kinda like old stuff for me, but at least a good 60% of the day had new stuff or things I really needed to watch a pro do, which is what happened. The pro was Ben Willmore (www.digitalmastery.com) and he did a great job of teaching alot of very valuable techniques.

Above is an image I shot while on vacation in Mexico in 2007. The original is on the left. I retouched it this morning to practice some of the techniques I learned yesterday. My retouched version is on the right.
